Training, Drills, and Exercises
Nuka Research develops, facilitates, and evaluates emergency response drills and exercises. We use scenario-driven exercises designed to improve oil spill and emergency preparedness and to meet all regulatory requirements. We will develop, facilitate, and evaluate disaster response exercises based on realistic, risk-based scenarios.
At Nuka Research, we develop customized, objective-based training programs that combine traditional classroom learning with hands-on activities to engage all participants and to reinforce key preparedness, planning, and response concepts. Our instructors are FEMA-trained and ICS-certified, and our training courses are highly interactive. Courses include:
- Fundamentals of oil spill contingency planning
- Fundamentals of disaster and emergency response planning
- Incident Command System (ICS)
- On-water oil spill response operations
- Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA) protection
- Hazardous materials (Hazmat, HAZWOPER)
- Oil spill response techniques (on-land and on-water)
- Science of oil spills
